Product Dissection Poster
Fall 2023
In this project, I demonstrate my Illustration skills based on a real world product that my team and I disassembled. The goal of the poster was to highlight the materials used for constructing a product, and I gained valuable insight about different components that go into making consumer goods. My contribution to this project were the illustrations and collaboration with the overall design of the poster.
This old Playstation controller was deconstructed and separated by individual piece or subassembly, then organized from top to bottom. Afterwards I took multiple photos to use for reference when creating the illustrations.
Reflection
This project excercised my illustrating skills that I was not too confident with going into this aspect of the poster, but through creating isometric drawings and combining them with graphic design, my team and I were able to create a satisfying final result.
