Beam Buddy: Flashlight Product Development
Fall 2023
In this project, we were tasked with creating a flashlight for a demographic of 6 year old children. my partner and I developed the Beam Buddy based on an initial prototype built from styrofoam. The inital concept was based on a camera that a toddler would easily be able to hold, point, and shoot. The idea for the materials were that they should be durable and attractive to young people while also maintaining its functionality.

This project excercised my 3D design skills and required a thorough research process for developing this product with the demographic in mind. Through creating illustrations and combining them with 3D rendering, my team and I were able to create a satisfying final poster that described and showed off a durable and fun flashlight for kids to use.
